A Healing For Your Soul....

Don't let someone break you. You can hurt, cry and be sad, but you can also keep it moving. You can't fall apart. They didn't put you together, so they shouldn't be able to pull you apart. If you lose yourself to every person you are with and they have the power to pull you apart than you need to be by yourself.

We all fall hard for someone, and when you lose yourself, you allow them to take a piece of you with them. Stop looking for someone to complete you, when you don't feel comfortable in your own skin. You can't make someone happy if your not happy with yourself. Loving yourself is not the beauty you see in the mirror for that is just the surface....look deeper than that....look at your soul....reflect.....than heal.

We all have those open wounds that are in need of closure, that's why we have a hard time trying to heal. You can't get over the hurt until you admit the pain. Pain is never easy...we all go through it..try to focus each day on taking back a piece of YOU.

Unhappiness comes from the poor choices we make.....don't run from suffering...embrace it! God can restore your heart, mind, body and soul. A heart that is broken is never to broken to mend. Take your brokenness to God and He will make you heart like new.

When in a healing process don't go back to the source of where that hurt came from, until you have completely healed.

  2. Becca,

Your blog and this post are very heart-touching and right on! From any and every situation that Christ, our Lord has brought you through, He is redeeming it all by using you to help who knows how many others in deep pain and confusion right now!

I'm going to be praying for you and however God chooses to use you on behalf of others going through their own healing process.

These came to my mind for you when I thought about what you've written here.

And provide for those who grieve in Zion -- to bestow on them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of gladness for mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:3

How beautiful is the feet of those who bring good news. Romans 10:15

    Bless you sister!

  5. I want to thank you so very much for this post. I'm in the healing process of a violent marriage to an alcoholic. I look in the mirror and see the bruises and scars he's left behind. My mind is beseiged with his angry words. I wish I'd had the strength to go to the police but I do thank God for providing me a safe place of refuge. I have no family and my church family hasn't even called. I'm hurting so bad inside. Your post touched me deeply and was like a message of instruction from the Lord and I know in time that I'm going to be okay. Please let nothing stop you from doing your ministry. You are a blessing.

  7. Wow! This is a powerful post Becca!

It reminds me of the quote, "You would be amazed at what God can do with a broken heart if you give Him all the pieces"! So true as you have stated that you can't get over the hurt until you have admitted to the pain...that's DEEP.

Yes, the pain we endure is often the result of poor choices that we have made. In order to push through the pain, we have to #1)Admit to the pain and the cause thereof, 2) Approach God for His wisdom, mercy and healing power and 3) Abandon the poor choices that brought us to this point of frustration.

Once we release our pain to God, he Heals us, little by little. Pain didn't come on as quickly as we thought, it came gradually as we made individual choices and it will likewise gradually fade away as we push through the healing process. We must welcome God into our hearts to rebuild us, restore us and heal us. But He won't come until He feels that He is welcome!

Thanks so much for the wisdom! Continue to grace us with the presence of your wonderful inspiration!

  9. I agree in almost everything at this post.
But the end part, we're a bit different in terms of how we look at the hurting and how to get healed. Sometimes, it's better to back over and over again to the things that hurt you until you fin'lly realize it's worth nothing to cry for.
Actually, i just learned this on a retreat, sacred journeys Hawaii. :)
